I'm very behind.

There is too much to blog about and not enough time. Well, actually, there is plenty of time when I wake up with Rick at 4 a.m. and can't get back to sleep! The real excuse is that there's not enough space on my computer to upload any more pictures. I'm working on backing up all the pictures on discs and online, since our external hard drive broke. But I'm wondering, what does everyone else do to keep all your pictures and not bog down your computer??? Advice, please?

Since I have no pictures to show, I had better make this post exciting by announcing that I'm 20 weeks pregnant! That's better than a picture, right?

My way may not be a super smart way, but every once in a while when I need to purge some pictures I go to walmart.com or whereever online, download them, order prints, AND I order a CD of them. So when they come in the mail or I pick them up at the store, I put the picture CDs in a fireproof safe we have. They don't take up much space at all and then I can delete the ones I've developed off my computer. Good riddance. Which reminds me, it's high time I do this again!

And major congratulations on the pregnancy! I think that's wonderful!

are you sure it's the pictures that are making your computer slow? that seems odd to me. they take up relatively little space when compared to programs like itunes and antivirus. but maybe it's different because your camera takes photos that are higher quality than mine? but i have tons of wedding, engagement, and horse show photos that are high quality. hmm.

also, that is funny you haven't mentioned being pregnant on your blog yet.

Congrats so exciting!

I'm the worst at keeping organized. I've got pictures on both of our computers, our external hard drive, jump drives...i'm not a good example!

Yay!!!! Love this post, pictures or no pictures. ;) I'm so excited that we'll have little buddies so close in age! And btw, that's a great question about pics...we just use our external hard drive, but our comp. has been SO slow lately, I can hardly use the internet some days...stumped on what to do...

Wow, I've got 3 kids and I still have never managed to bog the computer down... you must be a picture taking fiend! Ok, admittedly I am TERRIBLE at taking pictures regularly.
BTW, we need to get together sometime and talk birthing, you know, what you would like to experience, what your previous births were like, etc. My experience, while limited, has told me everyone is so different so I would expect that what you like and what I like would be different as well.

Kind of a random way that we use for backing up our favorite pictures, in a hard copy, is to turn our blog into a book each year. We use blurb.com. AND Congrats on being pregnant!! :0)

I don't really have advice on the picture thing as I do what you do with the external hard drive. But, I'm 20 weeks pregnant as well:) Guess we'll have little ones about the same age again, have you found out what this one is?

Congratulations on baby #3! Will you be finding out the gender soon or will it be a surprise?

I upload them onto an external hard drive, but I have a couple friends who just upload onto Shutterfly, I think they promise to store them forever on there.

I hope your pregnancy is going great:) I'm glad you are enjoying the Ina May book, I just loved it. It is definitely too bad you don't have a birthing center near you- that is such a great middle ground.

I can't wait to see pics of your baby in 20 more weeks and am totally going to stalk your blog now:)
