baby?

(Not a picture of me, but how cool is that??)

I'm finally feeling like I want this baby OUT. Having delivered #1 at 37 weeks, I've never been this pregnant! I didn't know it got pretty uncomfortable, especially when you have a 16-month-old sitting on your belly a good part of the day.

Yesterday was sort of a crazy day... I went to the doctor for a routine check up and found I was dilated to a 4. I'd been feeling a contractions here and there for a couple of days, so I wasn't too surprised. Then the doc sent me to do a non-stress test, where they hook the baby up to some monitors to make sure he's moving enough and has a strong heart rate. When I went to do that, they found I had dilated to a 5! They wanted me to stay at the hospital and walk around for an hour to see if I would dilate some more. I said that I'd really rather go home for the early labor part of it, and since I hadn't even felt any really strong contractions yet, I didn't think he was coming too soon. Thankfully, they let me go home (especially good for Rick, who really needs to be studying for his test that's tomorrow morning!!) So, here we are, just waiting for these contractions to get stronger...

I imagine the next post will have some new baby pictures...
