Happy children!

I will get to posting about Christmas, and all the hoopla that goes on there at the end of December (my birthday, which is always a day where we don't see Rick since he's taking exams ... our trip to Utah and celebrations with all kinds of family out there ... all the fun, fun homemade gifts I made and FORGOT to take pictures of, which I am SO sad about!! ... our anniversary: 3 years and 2 kids, not bad right? ... etc. etc. etc.)

BUT, for now, I NEED a post to remind me that my kids ARE happy and normal. Because I can still hear the screaming that has been right next to my ear for the past three days straight. Now I remember that we went through this the last time we came back from traveling. After racking my brain to figure out what is wrong with my child, I think the key is sleep deprivation: too much partying plus 12 hours traveling to get back home equals a screaming child who can't even settle down enough to sleep.

Anyway, I will not be posting pictures of my children screaming. Although I almost wish I had some of our grocery trip today: I'm wearing Everett in a sling, and he's eating my grocery list. Carson is in the cart, screaming for me to hold him. I'm trying to get the items on my list, which has now become Everett's snack. Carson is so hysterical that he starts grabbing any groceries he can reach and chucking them as hard as he can at the ground. Everyone else in the store is staring at me and wondering if I know what birth control is. Ok, that last part isn't true, I hope.

Anyway, here are some pictures of right before we left for out trip, in hopes that my children will someday be happy again!!!!!

I totally feel your pain!! The last 2 nights have been HORRIBLE with James. He woke up at least 4 times and at one point screamed for 2 hours straight. His naps are all messed up too. I am glad someone else feels my pain!

Overstimulation, time zone change, change of schedule, etc. will do it do their little bodies everytime. It's so sad. They looked happy when I was there! :) I'm so sorry, surely by Sunday they'll be normal, right?
