Proof that I did try couponing.

DSC08651
I'm sorry, I know everyone is sick of these pictures, but I had to post it just this once!

I'm good at some things. I'm not good at other things. I am really really bad at couponing. I lose coupons (I have totally lost coupons in the store, when I just had them in my hand), I have trouble printing them, I get cranky about the amount of time I spent getting ready for and at the store, and I get emotional when the store is out of the item I need.

So I had to document the fact that I did have success last week with Harris Teeter's super doubles. The picture above was $3, I think, and I went back a few times for more of the same. One time the store ended up owing me 50 cents, and I got to pick out a candy bar!! That made me like couponing a little bit more, but I still cannot say I want to do it again any time soon.

i feel the same way! well, i don't lose them or feel emotional, but i hate all the time that it takes to get everything ready and printing them all out. i wish i were good at that. i guess we can leave that to reagan.

I couldn't agree more. I tried it for a couple of weeks and everytime I went to the store I would get so angry about how long it was taking me. Plus I didn't feel like I saved that much money. Although $3 for all that.. you are better at it then I am!

Do you know why I love this post? Because I can totally hear you speaking that first paragraph. It has Page written all over it! Made me miss you!

I have never explored the mystery that is couponing. That's another reason I like this post - it doesn't make me feel guilty for not doing it! Although it does look like you got a steal of a deal on that stuff.

Tell Rick to take a picture of you so you can post it!

I'm so glad you feel this way too! I have done this as well but I just can't get into the groove and I REALLY don't enjoy it at all.

I'm with you. I always feel it is more of a hassle than it is worth so most of the time I don't bother, just use a random coupon here and there if I remember I have one. That's awesome you got all that stuff for $3!!
