Day 17: a big flower.

Well, I didn't get to do plan A for today's accomplishment, but luckily I had made this flower while playing with the kids this morning. I even finished the back! Usually I get lazy towards the end of projects and finish them up sloppily. Not when I'm THRIVING!

Since the flower wasn't made 100 percent for the challenge, I just climbed up a ladder and cleaned all the dust off of the ceiling fan in my bedroom. All right, that's enough thriving for today.

Note: here's a tutorial for this kind of flower.

How do you make those flowers? I love the full, squiggly look, if you know what I mean. Good job on thriving, I look forward to your posts everyday. :)

I guess that the last time I read your blog was right before Rick went out of town because I had to get all caught up on the survive and thrive stuff. Loved it! What a great idea. We all need a little bit of goal setting in our lives.

I think I should do that just to stay sane while living with my parents and since Dan is working all the time now. Although intern year (at least for peds) isn't as bad as everyone would have you think. It's a lot like 3rd year of med school, but with less studying. Sure he leaves at 5am and goes to bed at 9pm, but he's home for dinner and the kids' bedtime every night. :)
